A snapshot from the '96 Conference.
Dear Community Builders,
In November 1994, one hundred and fifty community builders from throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania gathered at Linden Hall to share ideas, concerns resources and skills. One result of that meeting and the energy it generated, was the formation of a regional network of community builders, both rural and urban. Since this formation, the Regional Coalition of Community Builders has held three biennial conferences. It is time to unite once again. The Coalition is delighted to invite you to this Fall's conference, Focusing On Our Environment... Building Safe, Sustainable & Supportive Communities
This years conference will focus around sharing, recognizing and highlighting local community-based efforts that build safe, sustainable, and supportive communities. Enhance your community building skills in areas such as technology, housing, ecology, arts & culture, workforce development, education, public safety, and community development
In addition to workshops, enjoy our exciting keynote speaker from EcoCleveland, Michael Beach, hosted by Sustainable Pittsburgh
Structured like a retreat, this conference includes lodging and meals with your registration, although you may commute. As in the past three conferences, there will be excitement, success, fun, and fellowship for all participants. And, yes...the popular square dancing is back.
