Underserved Populations. One primary focus of Information Renaissance programs is the set of communities traditionally underserved by commercial providers of technology. This includes low-income neighborhoods, rural regions, and areas of low English literacy.

Community Service Providers. Closely related to this focus is the set of organizations that provides services to underserved groups but which often lack an extensive knowledge of technology or in-house capabilities to support technology.

General Public. Many of the efforts of Information Renaissance are meant to be broadly inclusive and to serve the public at large. This includes, in particular, our work on electronic governance, and facilitation of the public role in governmental policy-making.

Government Agencies. A fourth target audience consists of personnel in government agencies who are beginning to use electronic means to interact with the general public.
